Disney's "Zootopia" has cruised past $800 million in the worldwide box office, thanks in no small part to its record-breaking performance in China. And it hasn't even debuted in Japan yet.
The second-biggest Walt Disney Animation Studios release of all time, behind "Frozen" (third, if you count "The Lion King's" re-release), the comedy-adventure also holds the animated record in China, where it's grossed $222 million since its March 4 premiere.
The film, which kicked off its global run in Belgium on Feb. 10, has raked in more than $523 million overseas and $276.7 in North America.
"Zootopia" arrives April 23 in Japan.
