If the cornerstone of your Comic-Con International experience in previous years was the convention-adjacent ZombieWalk, and you've been anticipating its return for two years now -- you're in luck! The ZombieWalk will return, although this installment may be its final shuffle.
That year, a deaf driver stopped for the procession, but then drove through the crowd of onlookers, hitting several people and injuring one. Matthew Pocci Jr., who was sentenced last year to 60 days of house arrest and three years' probation, testified he was scared for his family's safety. However, prosecutors argued he'd grown impatient and angry with the crowd.
Organizers confirmed the return of ZombieWalk in a Facebook post, although details for the event won't be available until July 10. According to the post, the event has also teamed with the Flex Your Rex/Dino-Mite Fun Walk 2016, meaning dinosaurs will walk among the dead. Reel Guise Cosplay is also rumored to head up the pack with their brand of "The Walking Dead" cosplay.
The SDCC ZombieWalk is set to be held on Saturday, July 23, at 6 p.m. PT. No details are available as to why organizers say this could be the event's final year.
