The first synopsis for Sony's Zombieland 2 teases that Woody Harrelson's Tallahassee and the rest of the survivors will go up against a host of new zombie evolutions in the sequel.

Releasing exactly 10 years after Ruben Fleischer's original movie shambled into theaters, Zombieland 2 is once again asking fans to "nut up or shut up" as it gives a comedic twist to the well-worn zombie movie genre.

According to the synopsis, the group is once again on the move as the action heads to Washing D.C. and beyond for Zombieland 2. The official synopsis reads as follows:

Through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, the Zombie slayers must face off against many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.

Sony has already confirmed that the cast of Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin will return alongside Fleischer and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. And while rumors of a sequel have circled since the first movie bowed out of theaters, the road to Zombieland 2 has been a long, bumpy one. Among the leading rumors about the film have been suped-up zombies, and the movie's official synopsis confirms that the brain-hungry monsters will at least look, if not act a little different this time around.

What these evolved zombies will look like remains to be seen, and with production not set to start until January 2019, fans are in for a bit of a wait until they will be able to lay eyes on these new undead antagonists. One thing's for sure though, Zombieland 2 has NOT already been shot in secret!
