WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist Season 2, Episode 4, available now on Peacock and Hulu.

The latest episode of Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist put Zoey in the awkward position of having to fire a number of her employees as a cost-saving measure. While she's upset at having to let people go, she handles it well -- until she learns she has to fire brand new hire George. His loss is particularly strange given that he is also a brand new character introduced this season. But just because George is leaving SPRQ Point doesn't mean he has to leave the show.

George was introduced at the beginning of Season 2 as a new programmer taking the place of the recently-fired Max. He was revealed to be a sensitive and caring co-worker who, after some initial hazing, was accepted as part of the group. His wholesome eagerness has been a welcome part of SPRQ Point for four episodes, which made the move to fire him all the more surprising. To add insult to injury, Zoey drunkenly calls George and un-fires him, causing her to have to fire him a second time the next day.

George was let go due to his underperformance on the programming team. He even admits that coding doesn't come naturally to him. But George has other attributes that make him a great employee, like his earnest belief in his team and dedication to contributing however he can. If he's not an ideal programmer, George may still be an ideal coworker. Luckily, SPRQ Point isn't the only company in Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist.

Zoey's neighbor Mo and her ex-best friend Max have embarked on a start-up restaurant business that provides custom drinks and a place to order delivery from a number of other locales, allowing patrons to combine chefs and cuisines in one location. The second season has shown the pair discovering their co-working dynamic as well as solidifying their company design. Now that Mo and Max have put their business plans together started to set up their physical space, it's time that they start thinking about bringing in other employees.

George would be the perfect addition to their restaurant start-up, providing the much-needed physical and emotional support that a young business needs. His upbeat, can-do attitude is necessary for the relentless pace of start-ups, and with all of the work that a brand new restaurant requires, another set of hands would certainly help Max and Mo out. The type of work required of George may be something he finds comes more naturally to him than coding -- at the very least, the variety of start-up tasks would help him develop a number of new skills.

Getting fired from SPRQ Point was certainly a low point for George, who was introduced and then seemingly abandoned all too soon. Yet with all of the career changes happening on Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist -- from Simon's promotion to Spokesperson to Maggie asking Jenna to join her landscaping company -- it seems like the perfect way for George to move on to something better.
