Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau is among 10 Chinese actor who will fill out the cast of "The Great Wall," the Legendary Pictures fantasy from director Zhang Yimou ("Hero," "House of Flying Daggers").

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lau ("Infernal Affairs," "House of Flying Daggers") is joined by Jing Tian, Zhang Hanyu, Eddie Peng, Lu Han, Lin Gengxin, Zheng Kai, Chen Xuedong, Huang Xuan and Wang Junkai.

Matt Damon, Willem Dafoe and Pedro Pascal star in the epic, which follows a group of mercenaries sent to China on a mission to bring gunpowder back to Europe, only to be caught in the middle of a conflict between mystical beasts and a secret clan of warriors.

Based on a story conceived by Legendary CEO Thomas Tull and "World War Z" author Max Brooks, "The Great Wall" is set for release in 3D on Nov. 23, 2016.
