Zestworld, a digital comics platform known for putting creators first, is entering into an open beta phase which includes a new design for the site, free comics and new creators.

Along with free comics, new creators and an updated design, the new phase also allows subscribers early access to titles, behind-the-scenes reveals, access to invite-only events, virtual drawing sessions, the chance to have their likeness featured in an upcoming comic title and more. "We’ve spent the past several months testing, learning, and iterating alongside our fantastic launch creators while we build Zestworld into the premiere creator-owned vertical scroll comics platform," said Zestworld CEO and co-founder Chris Giliberti. "All the while, our creator waitlist has grown to encompass hundreds of the leading names in the industry. We’re delighted to emerge from closed beta and welcome new creators in waves. Next up: David Marquez, Liana Kangas, and Bill Walko, among others, will join us to publish comics, fulfill commissions and build their communities through Zestworld. From here, we plan to double the creator population on our platform each month to meet both creator and fan demand, and encourage any interested creators to sign up for our waitlist."
Marquez will release The UnChosen exclusively on Zestworld, a new comic (featuring color art by Marissa Louise and lettering and design by D.C. Hopkins) launching this fall. The synopsis for The UnChosen reads, "Thirteen-year-old Aida has been told that she is humanity's last hope, something she fully believes until a band of young people wielding awesome mystical powers reveals to her that everything she has been told is a lie - a lie that they have each been told as well. Taken in by this team of misfit rejected Chosen Ones, Aida must now seek the truth – of her past, her power, and the nature of the real threat clawing its way into our world."
