Zenescope’s ‘The Library’ Heading to Big Screen

Zenescope’s Grimm Fairy Tales Presents The Library is opening its pages for the big screen through a deal with Mythology Entertainment, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The publisher, known largely for its Grimm Fairy Tales line of titles, released the spinoff The Library in 2011 and 2012.

The five-issue series, written by Joe Pekar and drawn by Giovanni Timpano, focuses on 14-year old-Sela Mathers and her younger brother, who stumble upon a magic book in a rundown library that brings literary heroes and villains into their world, and vice versa.

No writer or director has been attached to the project yet.

Other Zenescope properties, like Wonderland and The Monster Hunter’s Survival Guide, have been optioned for film and television, but none has come to fruition yet.
