The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was a dream come true to many The Legend of Zelda fans, especially those who weren't a fan of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker's colorful and cartoony art style. Twilight Princess brought back the more darker and serious style that hooked fans in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Twilight Princess is a hefty game (having been among the longest Zelda entries prior to the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild). Consequently, it has more main boss battles than any other 3D Zelda with a total of 11 boss fights, which range from unsettling to outright exhilarating. These boss fights adhere to the traditional Zelda formula and have obvious weak points that require dungeon items, which makes Twilight Princess' boss fights fairly easy for Zelda veterans. However, Twilight Princess' bosses are still a step up in difficulty from Wind Waker's.

11 Armogohma Continues The Zelda Tradition of Easy Spider Bosses

Armogohma

Armogohma is fought at the end of the Temple of Time and is the sixth main boss of Twilight Princess. Armogohma scurries across the ceiling and has an obvious weak point: its eyeball. Link needs to shoot that eyeball with an arrow to drop Armogohma to the ground. He then needs to use the Dominion Rod on the nearest statue, which will slam its fist down on Armogohma.

Armogohma will summon baby Gohmas, but these are mostly to restock arrows and health if need be (and to prolong this easy boss fight).

10 Diababa Can Mostly Be Defeated Standing Still

Diababa

Diababa is fought at the end of the Forest Temple and is the first main boss of Twilight Princess. The first phase of the Diababa fight pits Link against two large Deku Babas. Link will need to use his Gale Boomerang to target a Bombling and then one of the Deku Babas. This will send a Bombling to that Deku Baba, which will explode and take out the first of two Deku Babas. Repeat with the other Deku Baba to reveal the full Diababa boss.

In this second phase of the Diababa fight, Link can remain safe by hanging back toward the entrance. Link will need to wait until Ook (the monkey Link previously encountered) begins swinging back and forth with a Bombling. Once again, target the Bombling and then the main Diababa head with the Gale Boomerang. Hitting this head will leave the boss vulnerable to strikes.

9 Fyrus Was Just Stretching Out Its Legs After Being Imprisoned For So Long

Fyrus and Link

Fyrus is fought at the end of the Goron Mines and is the second main boss of Twilight Princess. Because Fyrus is in flames, Link cannot touch Fyrus because he'll receive burn damage. Link instead needs to stand back and shoot Fyrus' forehead gem with an arrow. This provides Link with an opening to grab the chain attached to Fyrus' leg shackles. From there, pull back the chain while the Iron Boots are equipped. Fyrus will fall over, allowing Link to attack Fyrus' forehead gem with sword strikes. Repeat this process for an easy victory.

8 Puppet Zelda Brings Back The Dead Man's Volley

Puppet Zelda

Puppet Zelda is fought at the end of Hyrule Castle and is the ninth main boss of Twilight Princess, as well as the first boss in the final string of boss fights. Puppet Zelda will shoot a light ball at Link, and Link will need to maintain the volley with his sword until the light ball hits Puppet Zelda. This needs to be done thrice.

Puppet Zelda has two other attacks. The first is attempting to skewer Link with her sword, and the other is forming a light area on the ground that will damage Link if he stays within it long enough. Both are fairly easy to dodge.

Dark Beast Ganon and Link

Dark Beast Ganon is fought right after Puppet Zelda and is the penultimate boss of Twilight Princess. Dark Beast Ganon has a weak point on its belly, so the goal is to knock Dark Beast Ganon over. This can be done by either hitting the gem on Dark Beast Ganon's forehead with an arrow or by transforming into Wolf Link and grabbing the gem with Midna.

The latter is the easiest way, and likely how this boss was designed to be fought. When grabbing with Midna, point the analog stick in whichever direction to throw Dark Beast Ganon to the ground. Either side works. The biggest thing to worry about is when Dark Beast Ganon utilizes dimensional portals to get the jump on Link, so Link (and the player) will need to stay on guard.

6 Morpheel Is A Bigger And Tougher Version Of Morpha

Morpheel

Morpheel is fought at the end of the Lakebed Temple and is the third main boss of Twilight Princess. For the first phase of the Morpheel fight, Link will need to grapple an eyeball from the Morpheel's tentacles with the Clawshot. This can be tricky to target with the Bombfish floating around Morpheel.

In the easier second phase of the fight, Morpheel will emerge from the lakebed and swim across the boss area. Link will need to remove his Iron Boots, swim up to Morpheel, and hook Morpheel's eye (on the back of its head). Link then needs to hang onto the eye, which he can slash with his sword.

5 Stallord Is A Fan Favorite Boss Fight That Can Be Annoying To Beat

Link using the Spinner while Stallord breaths toxic gas in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Stallord is fought at the end of the Arbiter's Grounds and is the fourth main boss of Twilight Princess. To defeat Stallord, Link will need to use his Spinner and find an opening to hit Stallord's spine three times. Stallord will summon undead soldiers to block that pathway and spiked spinners along the outer railing – both of which can be incredibly annoying.

In the second phase of the fight, Stallord will be a floating head. To damage it, Link will need to scale the central tower using the Spinner while jumping across to the sidewall railing to avoid attacks and obstacles. Stallord will eventually close the distance between it and Link, leaving it open to a Spinner attack through jumping. From there, attack Zant's sword on Stallord's head.

4 Argorok's Armor Isn't The Only Thing Weighing It Down

Argork – Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess Boss fights

Argorok is fought at the end of the City in the Sky and is the seventh main boss of Twilight Princess. There are multiple towers surrounding the boss area that Link will need to scale using the Double Clawshots. From there, Link will have to use the Double Clawshot to latch on to the end of Argorok's tail, then slip on the Iron Boots to weigh it down to break its armor.

In the second phase, there are Peahats floating around. Upon reaching those, Argorok will begin breathing fire. Link will have to make his way to the back of Argorok where it has a weak point (a gem this time). Latching on to that gem will allow Link to strike the boss a few times. Toward the end, Argorok will sometimes change the direction it's breathing fire, so Link will need to change direction himself.

Blizzeta Challenges Link in Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess

Blizzeta is fought at the end of the Snowpeak Ruins and is the fifth main boss of Twilight Princess. The key to defeating Blizzeta is well-timed Ball and Chain hits. In the first phase, Blizzeta will spin around like an air hockey puck, and Link will need to hit Blizzeta multiple times.

In the second phase of the fight, Blizzeta is surrounded by multiple shields and will float in the air. These shields will come crashing down (the player can use the ice reflection to see where these shields will land). Destroy at least one. Blizzeta and its shields will then circle around Link and crash on top of him. There will be an opening from the shield(s) Link destroyed to avoid Blizzeta's landing and provide an opening to attack Blizzeta directly with the Ball and Chain.

2 The Ganondorf Fight Is An Epic Conclusion To An Epic Zelda Game

Ganondorf and Link

Much like in Wind Waker, Ganondorf returns as the final boss of Twilight Princess. Link will first need to fight Ganondorf on horseback. Target and fire at Ganondorf with Zelda's Light Arrows to stun him, then ride alongside Ganondof to slash him with Link's sword. Getting hit will cause Link to fall off Epona. The camera and controls will be the primary source of frustration with this phase.

The final fight is a true sword fight! Ganondorf will run toward Link, meaning the player will need to press the on-screen "Chance" prompt. Doing so will result in a button-mashing clash. Winning that will leave Ganondorf vulnerable to strikes. After that, it's a matter of finding an opening to continue hitting him. Staying close and sticking to Ganondorf's right can make avoiding his attacks fairly easy. Alternatively, bringing out the fishing rod can distract Ganondorf in a fun Easter egg.

1 Zant's Boss Fight Is As Bizzare As He Is

Zant with two Shadow Beasts

Zant is fought at the end of the Palace of Twilight and is the eighth main boss of Twilight Princess. This boss is fought in multiple stages with all but the final one taking Link back to previous boss fight areas. These areas serve as a hint regarding how to conquer each phase as Link will need to use similar items/techniques, which in some cases is easier said than done.

The final phase is much tougher as Zant is more aggressive with his attacks. Avoid those attacks and either find an opening or wait until Zant is tired out from his spin attack.
