Fans of Warner Bros.' Justice League petitioned for years for the release of director Zack Snyder's original cut of the ensemble film, based on reports by those involved that his version of the film had essentially been completely filmed. Snyder recently revealed that the upcoming film will contain new footage.

In an interview with Beyond The Trailer's Grace Rudolph, Snyder stated, "I will say that in the end it's going to probably be about four minutes or five minutes of additional photography for the entire movie. In the four hours that is Justice League, maybe four minutes."

Snyder helmed Warner Bros.' Justice League until a family tragedy forced him to step away from production. He was replaced by director Joss Whedon, who was reportedly brought on to shift the tone and general direction of the film. It was reported that the theatrical release of Justice League used roughly 10 percent of Snyder's footage.
