The release of Zack Snyder's Justice League has resulted in a new campaign with wider goals: the restoration of the SnyderVerse. The DCEU director recently expressed his view on the matter, stating that he would support the movement.

When asked about the #RestoretheSnyderVerse movement, he explained at Justice Con, "It is a concept that I think shows reverence for the work. In that way, whatever it results in I have no idea. Most likely nothing. ... The reverence for the work is something I would never dismiss or in any way say I don't respect. Of course, I would give my entire effort to support. ... If someone says to me no matter who that person is if they say to me 'I really loved that thing I wish you would make another one' I'm personally not a person who says 'forget it' because I think that is rude."

Zack Snyder was the original director behind Man of Steel, Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League until he was forced to leave the latter due to a personal tragedy. Joss Whedon was brought in by Warner Bros. to rewrite and reshoot Justice League, which opened to mixed reviews in 2017. Following Snyder's comments about his original vision for the film, fans demanded that Warner Bros. allow Snyder to release his cut of the film, using #ReleasetheSnyderCut.

After several years and vocal support from some of the film's cast members, Snyder and HBO Max announced that Zack Snyder's Justice League would be released. The new version of the film expands on certain characters, such as Cyborg and Steppenwolf, and introduces new ones, including Darkseid, Martian Manhunter and more.
