Although director Zack Snyder is busy with post-production on "Justice League," his mind isn't far from "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," as we see from this new closeup image of Knightmare Batman.

Shared by the filmmaker on the Vero mobile social network, the photo by Clay Enos showcases the attention to detail, from the damage and weathering to the costume to the joker playing card taped to the stock of the gun (the image is even captioned "Joker"). The leopard-print scarf will undoubtedly launch at least a few fan theories.

The costume of course appeared in what became known as the "Knightmare sequences," and inspired several "Batman v Superman" collectible figures, and plenty of cosplayers.

Although we probably won't see the Knightmare costume again, we'll next see Ben Affleck as Batman in Snyder's "Justice League," which also stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

"Justice League" opens Nov. 17, 2017.
