In December 2020, Snyder revealed some facts about its R-rating, saying, "There's one scene where Batman drops an F-bomb." He clarified, "Cyborg is not too happy with what's going on with his life before he meets the Justice League, and he tends to speak his mind. And Steppenwolf is pretty much just hacking people in half. So [the rating would be due to] violence and profanity, probably both."

Zack Snyder's Justice League is currently scheduled to stream on HBO Max on March 18. While it was originally announced that the cut would be released in four parts, Snyder stated that it will be released as a single Justice League film. While plot details remain scarce, trailers and clips show that the upcoming film will introduce new characters such as Martian Manhunter and Darkseid, as well as aesthetic changes to certain characters.
