Zack Snyder's Justice League could include more "Knightmare" scenes, as the director revealed there is more footage from his apocalyptic Batman v Superman future.

When one fan asked if the Snyder Cut would include more Knightmare scenes, Snyder responded on Vero with a simple, "Oh ya." The director didn't expand on where the story would go next or which members of the League will appear in these new scenes.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's Knightmare sequence showed Ben Affleck's grizzled Batman fighting Parademons and a corrupted Superman. Snyder previously said he wanted to explore the Knightmare timeline in future Justice League movies, and he has made no secret of the fact he planned a five-movie arc that would have started with Man of Steel and ended with Justice League 3.

The Knightmare future was kick-started by the death of Lois Lane and saw Darkseid's forces terraform Earth and scatter the League. Batman v Superman had the Flash head back in time to warn Batman of this future, although he ultimately failed. Snyder recently confirmed Cyborg would find a way to send Barry Allen back to a later point in Bruce Wayne's life. When Joss Whedon took over from Snyder due to a family tragedy, there was only a brief mention of Darkseid and no Knightmare sequences were included.

The latest reports claim there won't be any re-shoots and Zack Snyder's Justice League won't restart his vision for the DC Extended Universe. Still, there are plenty of questions hanging over Snyder's Justice League plans. Hopefully, some of these will be answered when Zack Snyder's Justice League premiers next year.

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere exclusively on HBO Max in 2021.
