Over #ReleaseTheSnyderCut

Fans first learned that Zack Snyder wanted to include Green Lantern John Stewart in Justice League back in March. The director intended for Stewart to meet Bruce Wayne in one of Justice League's epilogue scenes. However, Warner Bros. objected to the use of John Stewart, which caused the character to be switched out for Harry Lennix's Martian Manhunter. Snyder later revealed in April that John Stewart was originally planned for Justice League's ending.

"[Snyder] said, 'We're going to shoot it, we'll see what the studio says,'" Wayne T. Carr said while discussing being cut from Justice League. "This is kind of crazy because we shot it in what I'm going to call 'Driveway Studios.' He called me after he showed it to everyone, I think it was the second time because they had watched it in parts. He was like, 'They're not letting me do this thing.'"

Zack Snyder later surprised fans by revealing behind-the-scenes photos from the filming of Carr as Green Lantern, which were filmed in the director's driveway. The actor also shared a close-up image of the production, resulting in #ReleaseTheGreenLanternScene trending on social media.

In Zack Snyder's Justice League, determined to ensure Superman’s ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne aligns forces with Diana Prince with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.

Zack Snyder's Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ray Porter as Darkseid, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. The film is now streaming on HBO Max.
