Zack Snyder's Justice League is finally here. While the film isn't pleasing everyone, it's a glorious, four-hour spectacle that feels like an event comic come to life. For DC Comics fans, the movie is incredibly special. Unfortunately, though, the movie eventually comes to an end. However, there are two key DC games that are easily accessible, excellent experiences that are perfect to play after watching the Snyder Cut.

While DC Comics has been particularly quiet on the games side over the past few years, there are a solid array of great titles that released on last and current-gen systems. Two in particular, Injustice 2 and Batman: Arkham Knight, fit in nicely with the overall vibe of Snyder's film. While neither are available on Nintendo Switch -- which does have DC games like the Telltale Batman titles and LEGO DC Super-Villains -- players on other systems looking for games that track with Snyder's gritter, operatic take on the universe can enjoy these games post-Justice League.

Injustice 2

Part of what makes Zack Snyder's look at the DC universe so interesting is how he depicts its characters. Snyder views them as modern Olympian gods and monsters in a dour world. In some cases, he even depicts them in post-apocalyptic Elseworlds scenarios that draw heavily from Injustice itself. Beyond similar plot points and ideas, Injustice 2 treats its cast of characters with a reverence and magnitude that's evocative of Snyder's style.

This is largely accomplished by NetherRealm Studios' incredible presentation From the overall art style to the audio design to the finisher moves, every fight is a spectacle. Each fight is also riveting from a gameplay perspective. It's no surprise that the developer behind Mortal Kombat can build an incredibly fluid, engaging fighting game, and Injustice 2 is just that.

The game pairs great mechanics with plenty of DC fan service and worldbuilding that fans will appreciate. Plus, the game has a wealth of content, including a robust and repayable cinematic campaign. For those looking to continue the power fantasy of Justice League, Injustice 2 is a great place to start.

Batman: Arkham Knight

The grittiness of Snyder's films is evident in Batman: Arkham Knight. As this is the only game in its series to be rated M, Arkham Knight ratchets up that grounded intensity. Snyder fans will feel immediately at home in this version of Gotham City. Of course, this Batman is markedly different than Ben Affleck's Batman. Still, anyone who was captivated by the warehouse fight in Batman v Superman will be equally captivated by Batman's combat here.

Arkham Knight adds new systems to its gameplay as well, including the Batmobile. While this proved controversial, it adds another touch of Snyder-like spectacle to the experience. Between all the facets of Arkham Knight's gameplay, Rocksteady was able to craft an immersive playground that makes donning Batman's cowl feel especially empowering. Plus, with Gotham Knights in the works, playing Arkham Knight now may be a good idea. Gotham Knights has been delayed until 2022, so players have plenty of time to delve into this series and become familiar with its mechanics.

While there are certainly other notable DC games that are worth playing, these two really capture the feel of Zack Snyder's Justice League -- and they're both very accessible. Xbox players can find both on Game Pass. PlayStation 5 owners have access to Arkham Knight through the PS Plus Collection, and Injustice 2 is available on PlayStation Now. These are both easily attainable, Snyder-feeling DC games that are absolutely worth checking out.
