Concept artist Jerad S. Marantz revealed his early design for Batman's tactical suit in Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Marantz shared on Instagram that he worked alongside costume designer Michael Wilkinson on the suit's design by working off of his original concept art for Snyder's previous film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. "You can see there are a couple of themes that carried over into the final design," he wrote.

Marantz's design for Ben Affleck's Batsuit in the SnyderVerse has become iconic in its own right. In addition to the work Marantz has done on Batman, he was also responsible for the look of Steppenwolf, Darkseid, DeSaad and the Apokolips priest in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, as well as contributions to Cyborg’s armor. Apart from DC films, Marantz has also worked on many films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as Captain America: Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Spider-Man: Far from Home and the final two Avengers films.

Zack Snyder's Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ray Porter as Darkseid, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. The film is now streaming on HBO Max.
