Snyder withdrew from the production of Justice League in 2017 following his own daughter's suicide. Since then, fans have rallied around the Snyder family and donated to AFSP in his daughter’s memory.

In 2019, Snyder himself released a Justice League shirt that provided cryptic details about his original cut of the film and raised over $85,000 in sales for ASFP. He also designed other Snyder Cut merchandise that not only promotes his version of the film but also benefits AFSP. These campaigns were organized through Ink to the People and allow fans to donate to the cause while buying #TheSnyderCut gear.

At DC Fandome's Justice League panel, Snyder revealed HBO Max will release his version of the film as four one-hour episodes. HBO Max will also release a single cut of the four episodes at a later date and provide an alternative for fans living in countries where the streaming service is unavailable.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere exclusively on HBO Max in 2021.
