Storyboards for Zack Snyder's original Justice League sequels have emerged, shedding light on which villains would comprise Lex Luthor's Legion of Doom.

According to the storyboards, Luthor would have recruited previous DC Extended Universe villains Dr. Poison, Black Manta and Ocean Master, along with Captain Cold and The Riddler, who would have already debuted in The Flash and The Batman respectively by that point.

In Justice League 2, The Riddler would have solved the Anti-Life Equation before killing himself in front of Batman. Later in the film, Ocean Master and Black Manta would kill Aquaman in Atlantis while Dr. Poison would kill Wonder Woman in Themyscira. Meanwhile, Captain Cold would attack The Flash in Central City and Cyborg would intervene, only to have the lower half of his body ripped off.

As for Luthor, he'd be killed by the heat vision of a Darkseid-controlled Superman. These events would then all be undone when The Flash traveled back in time in Justice League 3.

A Legion of Doom was teased in the mid-credits scene of the theatrical cut of Justice League when Luthor tells Deathstroke that it's time to form a league of their own. However, while there'll be more Deathstroke in Zack Snyder's Justice League, it's unclear if there are any plans for a Legion of Doom moving forward.

In Zack Snyder's Justice League, determined to ensure Superman’s ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne aligns forces with Diana Prince with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.

Zack Snyder's Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ray Porter as Darkseid, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. The film arrives on HBO Max March 18.
