Zack Snyder shared another tease for the upcoming Zack Snyder's Justice League, this time in the form of the film's music.

The director unveiled a sneak peek at Junkie XL's musical score for the film on TheFilmJunkee YouTube show. Snyder shared the music from his phone, so it is hard to hear clearly. But it sounds like Junkie XL and the director are going for a classic rock vibe for the film.

Zack Snyder's Justice League won't be Junkie XL's first project for the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). After providing additional music for Man of Steel, he joined Hans Zimmer as a co-composer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Zimmer handled the music related to Superman, while Junkie XL was assigned the Batman sounds. However, both Zimmer and Junkie XL ended up writing the final Batman theme.

Junkie XL was originally supposed to compose the music for the theatrical version of Justice League. However, he was replaced by Danny Elfman — who worked on Avengers: Age of Ultron with composer Brian Tyler and director Joss Whedon — after Whedon replaced Snyder on the production set.

The announcement of the Snyder Cut ended the two-and-a-half-year movement that pushed for its release. It began when the film first premiered in theaters following reports that Snyder's version of the movie had been heavily altered by Warner Bros. and new director Whedon after Snyder had to step down due to a family tragedy. Many blame those two parties for the film's subpar critical reception and argue that Snyder's product is far superior and fits more coherently with his previous two films in the DCEU canon: Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes - Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash - it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere exclusively on HBO Max in 2021.
