Zack Snyder assured fans that Zack Snyder's Justice League will be the true, uncompromised version of the movie.Snyder made the statement on Vero, and snapshots of the conversation were shared on Twitter. A fan asked how different the 2021 cut of Justice League will be from the 2017 version that was released in theaters and if he had to make any compromises to get his cut approved for HBO Max. Snyder directed most of Justice League before stepping down due to a family tragedy. Joss Whedon took over directorial duties, adding new scenes and changing much of what Snyder had planned, including an appearance by Darkseid.

Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere exclusively on HBO Max in early to mid-2021.
