Snyder's photo captures Ben Affleck's Batman in a warehouse bathed in shadow, with only his bright white eyes protruding from the darkness. He is dressed in his Mech Batsuit, a technologically advanced and armor-reinforced version of the standard Batsuit, made for the sole purpose of leveling the playing field in his fight against Superman.

Batman Day is an annual tribute that takes place on Sept. 19 to honor the character's first-ever appearance in 1939's Detective Comics #27. For this year's observance of the holiday, HBO Max opened up their DC library and offered subscribers access to a vast array of Batman content. Likewise, Spotify celebrated by providing their very own Dark Knight themed playlist.

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere exclusively on HBO Max in 2021.
