While a fan paid to fly a plane over Comic-Con International in San Diego this weekend asking Warner Bros. to finally release the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League, the director was not there to see it.

Snyder took to his Vero account on Saturday to post that he was unable to make it to Comic-Con this year because he was busy "killing zombies." Snyder also gifted fans with a photograph of the cast of his upcoming Netflix zombie movie Army of the Dead.

Snyder enjoyed his directorial breakout with the zombie movie Dawn of the Dead, a remake of the George Romero classic that earned the director a lot of critical praise. It remains his highest-ranking movie on Rotten Tomatoes, sitting at 75-percent fresh.

After leaving DC as a director, and moving into a producer role with the comic book slate of movies, Snyder made his next big project another zombie movie. As the photo he shared with fans showed, he is busy working on that movie right now.

The Army of the Dead cast photo includes Dave Bautista, Garret Dillahunt, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Raul Castillo, Chris D’Elia, Theo Rossi and Ana de la Reguera. The movie follows a group of mercenaries during the zombie apocalypse heading out on a heist.
