Shazam! star Zachary Levi took to Instagram to celebrate the blockbuster opening weekend of the latest DC Extended Universe movie.
The star of Shazam! thanked fans for seeing the film and made his gratefulness known what a heartfelt statement.
"The outpouring of love that y’all continue to show is beyond my wildest dreams. I’m genuinely speechless," Levi wrote. "we made something good, and it makes people feel good, and that's just the bees-knees y'all. The beesiest of knees."
The enthusiasm of Levi seems to be shared by movie-goers. Currently the number one movie in the world, Shazam! is blowing up the box office. It made over $51 million in its opening weekend and was met with excellent reviews, including a 91% Certified Fresh score on RottenTomatoes and an impressive "A" CinemaScore.
His sentiments echo the comments of Dwayne Johnson, the actor who was one of the film's producers and is set to portray Shazam's nemesis Black Adam in the DCEU. With him and the film's other producers openly discussing sequel ideas, this could mean that we'll be seeing a lot more of Shazam in the DCEU's future.
