While Billy Batson's longtime nemesis Black Adam isn't expected to appear in next year's Shazam!, star Zachary Levi hopes to face The Rock as the DC antihero.

Appearing at Baltimore Comic Con this weekend, Levi was asked about the prospect of facing The Rock's Black Adam on screen and if he could offer any update on the villain's long in development solo film.

"I don’t know when they’re going to make that standalone live-action movie but I know that’s the plan," explained Levi. "I hope that eventually Shazam and Black Adam get to fight each other because I’d like to kick The Rock’s ass. Because that's what would happen, right?"

Levi was also coy on questions regarding Henry Cavill's reported cancelled cameo in the upcoming DCEU film and any potential plans to replace him, admitting it was all "way above [his] pay grade".
