Ossoff won his Senate seat runoff against Republican David Purdue, making Ossoff the youngest Democrat elected to the Senate. The previous youngest Democrat was Joe Biden in 1972. The other Senate runoff in Georgia saw Democrat Raphael Warnock defeat Republican Kelly Loeffler, splitting the Senate 50-50 between both parties. Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will decide any tie-breaking votes.

"I am honored by your support, by your confidence by your trust and I will look forward to serving you in the United States Senate with integrity with humility, with honor and getting things done for the people of Georgia," Ossoff said in a statement before television networks called the race in his favor.

Saturday Night Live is known for having various actors play politicians throughout its 46 seasons. Most recently, Jim Carrey portrayed President-elect Joe Biden during the Presidential debates. However, after Biden was elected President over Donald Trump, Carrey announced he is retiring from the role.

Saturday Night Live airs at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
