If you've read the headline and the accompanying article about the new trailer, that's right, folks! Young Justice is back with a totally crash premiere date.

Revealed in the trailer released during DC FanDome, the fourth season of the series, Young Justice: Phantoms, releases on HBO Max today, Oct. 16. This may come as a surprise for some fans, being that there was no official release date before now. So, the release of a new trailer and a new release date is one of the many unexpected news releases to come out of the globally streamed event.

Now, the whole new season is not available for streaming. Only the first two episodes are currently available to view and binge on the platform. Similar to the show's third season, Young Justice: Outsiders, which released its season in two waves of weekly issued episodes starting on Jan. 4 and July 2, 2019, respectively, the new season will release episodes weekly every Thursday, starting on Oct. 21.

Of course, as previously mentioned, the wait for this premiere has come to a shocking two-year end, but was much shorter compared to the wait and period of uncertainty between Seasons 2 and 3. After the series was cancelled following Young Justice: Invasion in 2013, there was no guarantee that the show would ever return until it was saved on DC Universe, later moving to HBO Max as the platform shifted to the comics-only DC Universe Infinite.

The trailer saw many familiar faces return, including Superboy, Miss Martian, Beast Boy, Artemis, Zatanna, Will Harper and more. However, many faces were absent from the trailer, such as team members like Nightwing, Aquaman (Kaldur'ahm), Rocket and others, though these three can be found on promotional material for the season, hinting at their involvement. Nightwing can even be seen sporting his blue-sleeves look, which will soon be reintroduced in the Nightwing comic series written by Tom Taylor with art by Bruno Redondo.

While the trailer showed off many heroes, it also teased numerous villains as well. A return of Sportsmaster is possible following a flashback sequence of Artemis and Cheshire growing up, the trailer also featuring the assassin sibling, Klarion the Witch Boy, Lady Shiva, the League of Assassins and white Martians. However, while white Martians have been depicted as villains in series like Supergirl, Miss Martian is a white Martian, the only villainous one seen in the show previously being her brother, Ma'alefa'ak, last season.

The new season of the series, Young Justice: Phantoms, is now available to stream on HBO Max.
