Jason Spisak, the voice actor of Kid Flash (Wally West) on Young Justice, will make a return to the series for DC Universe's Young Justice: Outsiders, as the voice of new character Forager.

The announcement came at today's Young Justice: Outsiders panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego. What makes Spisak's return surprising is Wally West died in the final episode of Season 2. His return to Young Justice will undoubtedly get fans excited and hopeful for a surprise return and resurrection for Wally West as well.

Even though Spisak's Forager is a new character, he will play a vital role in Season 3 of the DC animated series. He is described as an alien from a different planet, which will make him an outsider on Earth. This will allow Forager to see our planet from a different perspective from Young Justice's regular series cast.

The first designs of the character also had him come across more as a monster, but his personality will bring a lot of levity to the show, similarly to Kid Flash from the previous two seasons.

Young Justice originally aired for two seasons, from 2011 to 2013, on Cartoon Network before ending with the epic “Invasion” storyline. After years of lobbying by fans and creators alike, Warner Bros. Animation finally announced in 2017 that the series would return for a third season. Although it was widely assumed Season 3 would air on Cartoon Network alongside Teen Titans Go! and Justice League Action, Warner Bros. revealed in April that Young Justice: Outsiders will instead will join the live-action Titans and Swamp Thing series, as well as an adult-oriented animated Harley Quinn show, on Warner Bros.’ upcoming DC Comics-branded digital platform, DC Universe.

Executive produced by Sam Register, and produced by co-creators Vietti and Greg Weisman, Young Justice: Outsiders will find the teen heroes facing their greatest challenge as they fight meta-human trafficking “and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.”

Young Justice: Outsiders is planned for 26 episodes, debuting on DC Universe in 2019.
