Fans of the 2010 cartoon Young Justice were thrilled to hear that the show was coming back when the news broke in 2016. Their saving grace came in the form of Young Justice: Outsiders, the third season of the popular cartoon, which aired on Jan. 4, 2019 as part of DC's online streaming service.

When the much anticipated show hit, reviews were positive, pleasing both critics and fans alike. By late January 2019, the show had wrapped up its third season with its 13th episode, "True Heroes." Now, it's been announced that Young Justice: Outsiders' mid-season debut will take place on July 2, 2019.

When the show left off, the Outsiders were deep in a covert mission to take down a metahuman trafficking depot, which was revealed to be run by long-standing DC supervillain Granny Goodness.

The show also teased the potential for Tara Markov's story to mirror that of her Judas Contract comic book origins, depicting a connection between her and the villainous Deathstroke. The latter half of the season will pick up where it left off, expanding on several cliffhangers from its January mid-season finale.
