WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for "Triptych," Episode 8 of Young Justice: Outsiders, streaming now on DC Universe.
One thing Young Justice: Outsiders has succeeded in is introducing brand new teams and superhero pairings. For example, Nightwing had a brief team-up with the Harper Clone Family of Red Arrow, Arsenal and Guardian; Batman, Green Arrow and other heroes quit the Justice League for what Black Lightning termed "Batman Incorporated"; and of course, Nightwing is assembling his own team of Outsiders with Superboy, Artemis, Black Lightning, Geo-Force, Halo and Forager.
The Young Justice: Outsiders episode "Triptych" revealed another member of the Batman Family has been put in charge of his own team, with its membership including two new characters who are also Dark Knight sidekicks, and the new mentee of Green Arrow.

Batman tasked Robin and his squad of Spoiler, Orphan and Arrowette with following Jervis Tetch, aka the Mad Hatter, after his release from Arkham Asylum six months ago. What the vigilante foursome soon discovered was the person they were following was Clayface disguised as the Mad Hatter. Tetch was using nanotech injections to take control of Clayface and other kidnapped metahumans. Mad Hatter ultimately escaped their grasp, but the destruction of Tetch's laboratory allowed Robin to free Clayface from Mad Hatter's influence.
Another revelation that came out of "Triptych" was that the Justice League and the Team had split into six secret teams, with Robin's squad counting as one of the six: there is Aquaman's Justice League team on Earth; Wonder Woman's cosmic Justice League; Batman Incorporated; Miss Martian's Team of Young Justice superheroes; Nightwing and the Outsiders; and Robin's team of sidekicks.
This Robin is Tim Drake, the third young man to take up the mantle of the Boy Wonder. Of course, Dick Grayson starred as Robin in the first season of Young Justice before becoming Nightwing during the show's five-year time jump to Season 2. Unfortunately, the second Robin Jason Todd passed away during the time-jump, though we did catch him in a previous episode under the control of Ra's al Ghul, along with Bruce Wayne's son, Damian, who could potentially suit up as Robin in the future.
Spoiler appeared as her civilian identity Stephanie Brown in Season 2's "Before the Dawn" as a captive of The Reach. Tim and Batgirl join Stephanie and other captured teens in order to free them later. Arrowette also debuted as Cissie King-Jones in Season 2's "Insecurity" when she was saved from the villain Black Spider by Green Arrow and Artemis. Finally, Orphan is Cassandra Cain and the daughter of Lady Shiva, who is also on Young Justice: Outsiders as a member of the League of Shadows.
Young Justice: Outsiders is now available to stream on DC Universe. The mid-season finale airs Friday, Jan. 25.
