Marvel's Avengers announced today that actor Zehra Fazal is voicing Jane Foster's Mighty Thor in the upcoming update.

Alongside the debut of Mighty Thor in an exciting trailer, Marvel's Avengers also announced the actor would voice the hero. The team asked fans to give her a "hearty welcome" as they revealed the casting in a post following the trailer launch. Although no actual gameplay or a final render of Mighty Thor's appearance in the game debuted, fans got their first chance to hear the actor as the thunder goddess as she did the voiceover in the trailer.

Fazal is known for live-action and voice-acting roles in series and games such as Lucifer, Young Justice and Apex Legends. While promoting her roles as Talia al Ghul and the vampiric supervillain Nosferata in the Catwoman: Hunted anime, Fazal spoke about her approach to voice acting. "It's such a unique way of working that it's hard to explain sometimes what it feels like, but what I love about acting with my voice -- if you were to watch me in the booth, I'm fully doing things with my body but all you hear is my voice -- you're thinking of how to give a visually compelling performance, something that will inspire the artists to create," she said. "That, to me, is the most satisfying and interesting of exploring voice work for animation and video games. How do I take this thing that people can see using just my voice?"

Rumors first teased the addition of Jane Foster's Mighty Thor in March, claiming her appearance replaced a rumored She-Hulk to time it with her live-action debut in Thor: Love and Thunder. Marvel's Avengers confirmed her upcoming addition to the team in April and later teased how Jane would possess similarities to Thor, but would bring her own favor and a different move pool from the God of Thunder. Some of that became evident in the trailer, as it revealed that Mighty Thor is not from the same universe as the Thor in the team.

Jane Foster's Mighty Thor will appear as part of Patch 2.5 on June 28. Marvel's Avengers is available now to play on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
