WARNING: The following article contains major spoilers for Young Justice #4 by Brian Michael Bendis, Patrick Gleason, John Timms, Alejandro Sanchez, Alex Sinclair and Wes Abbott, on sale now.

Bart Allen was recently reunited with his old Young Justice pal Conner Kent on Gemworld. With that reunion, Bart -- and readers -- learned quite a bit about what happened to Conner during his absence. Among the revelations was that Conner had settled into a simple life on Gemworld as a farmer, appropriately enough.

Conner's DNA is half-Kryptonian, and at last check was known to be the clone of Superman's alternate-reality son. So, it's no big surprise that he finds himself following in the steps of Clark Kent as a farmer on an alien planet. Perhaps more surprising, though, is Conner now also has a wife and daughter, much to Bart's astonishment and delight. In Brian Michael Bendis and Patrick Gleason's Young Justice #4, Conner calls his wife Lophi -- a name that might be half-derived from Lois Lane's. But it's actually his daughter's name that draws notice.

That name: Martha.

Little Martha, presumably, was named after Martha Kent, Clark's adoptive mother and Conner's pseudo grandma. Conner is clearly a chip off the ol' Kryptonian block, much like his spiritual twin brother, Jon Kent, right down to his chosen lifestyle and his decision to keep the given names of the Kent family alive, even on another world.

Of course, Bruce Wayne's mother's name is also Martha, but it's unlikely Conner would name his baby after Batman's mom, unless there's a lot more of his backstory yet to be told. The common name was treated as little more than a coincidence over the decades, until Zach Snyder's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice turned that coincidence into the movie's critical turning point.

Should Tim Drake ever settle down, have a daughter and name her after his grandma, the DC Universe will have a new generation of Martha's to serve as fodder for future storylines.
