Due to being around for a much longer time, she's has had more development than her movie counterpart and has done a bit more.

10 An Avenger

Marvel Young Avengers Comics

Being the daughter of a classic Avenger, it only makes sense that Cassie Lang would grow up to be one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. She has been apart of two Avengers teams. The first was one of the original incarnations of the Young Avengers.

Her teammates were Kate Bishop, Billy Kaplan, Tommy Shepherd, Nate Richards, Jonas, Teddy Altman, and Eli Bradley. During her time with the team, Cassie fought Kang the Conqueror and helped rescue the Scarlet Witch from Doctor Doom. Cassie was also apart of the Mighty Avengers. She even got an invitation to join Kate Bishop's West Coast Avengers.

Hero and villain relationships are not too uncommon in Marvel Comics. Nate Richards is a younger version of well-known supervillain Kang the Conqueror. Cassie Lang and Nate Richards first met in Young Avengers Vol 1. #2.

The pairing first kissed after Iron Lad saved Stature from being pulled into the older Kang's portal. The twos romance did not last long, since Nate has to leave the Young Avengers and go back to his timeline. Cassie was born with a congenital heart defect.  This is actually what led her father Scott Lang to become Ant-Man in the first place. Scott Lang sought out Doctor Erica Sondheim to help save his daughter.

Years later, the villains Austine, and William Cross would later kidnap Cassie. They did this because they wanted to give her Pym Particle-exposed heart to their late father Darren Cross. They succeeded, but Cassie made a full recovery after her father helped her and life-saving surgery.

7 Has History with The Runaways

Marvel Comics Runaways

The Runaways are a group of supervillain's kids who have stayed together through lots of adversaries and even done some heroics. In Young Avengers Special Vol.1 #1, Cassie told Jessica Jones that she would've run away to Los Angles, in hopes of meeting and joining the Runaways. That obviously never happened though due to her finding her place with the Young Avengers.

However, she still ended up crossing paths with them in the future. During the superhero Civil War, the Runaways and Young Avengers met and the Young Avengers tried to get them to join Captain America's side. Out of all the Runaways, Cassie bonded with Victor Mancha the most.

6 Uncle Iron Man

Tony Stark flying through the air as Iron Man

Having spent a lot of time at Avengers Mansion growing up, it only makes sense that Cassie would be close to some of her dad's teammates.  She and Iron Man are particularly close. Referring to him as "Uncle Tony.", Cassie has known Tony ever since she was young.

This is not just because of him and her father's Avengers connection, but Scott also worked for Stark Industries for a period of time and the two met at that time. Tony even tried to persuade Cassie to not become a superhero after the loss of her father, because he was worried she'd share his fate and he wouldn't be able to handle that.

Cassie stole Pym Particles from her father throughout her life. While this was for unknown reasons, one can only assume it was because she wanted to become a hero like him, even at an early age.  Her powers first manifested after getting upset with Wiccan, Speed, Hulking, and Patriot, and caused her to grow to a giant size.

Her powerset is the same as most other Pym Particle users in the Marvel universe. This includes increased strength and durability, being able to grow, and being able to shrink. Due to the exposure, she does not need a specialized suit to use her powers.

When Cassie was getting adjusted at her new school, she decided to join an extracurricular. This was basketball. She complained about not being as good as other teammates and wished she had the Pym Particles in her bloodstream so she could grow and easily defeat them. Despite that, she stuck with it and naturally became better at it. She even got into going to the professional team games.

One time, her father gifted her tickets under the alias "President of Basketball". At this game, the crowd and players were brainwashed by Jason Cragg. Cassie Lang attempted to help her dad and Darla Deering with the situation, despite being depowered.

3 Looks Up To The Wasp

Marvel Wasp Janet van Dyne Comics

Many of Marvel's younger generation of heroes are inspired by the ones who came before them. Cassie Lang is no exception. While its obvious she looks up to her father Ant-Man, she also admires his sometimes partner and friend Janet van Dyne, the Wasp. This was first revealed when she and Jonas were walking in the Avengers Memorial Garden.

The pair noticed the new statute of Janet that was placed there due to her apparent death during the Skrull's Secret Invasion. Cassie then told Jonas the Wasp was the Avenger she most looked up too, besides her dad of course. She also thought she followed in Janet's footsteps by being another size-changing heroine.

2 BFF's With Hawkeye

Cassie Lang Kate Bishop Marvel Comics

Cassie Lang and Kate Bishop first met in Young Avengers Vol.1 #2. Their first interaction was Cassie asking Kate if she knew where the Young Avengers went since Cassie was interested in joining the team. The two then went to Avengers Mansion in hopes of finding them. The two then did meet them and stated they wanted to join the Young Avengers and did just that.

When Cassie came back from the dead, the two reunited and Kate even saved her from Secret Empire agents who attacked Cassie. The two have remained close friends over the years. and are definitely one of the strongest female friendships in the Marvel universe.

Marvel Comics Cassie Lang Stature Stinger

For one reason or another, heroes sometimes end up breaking bad. Cassie Lang was frustrated about no longer being a superhero, so she decided to join the Powerbroker's app called Hench X. She was then given her Stinger suit and was given the opportunity to get revenge on Darren Cross.

While she was breaking into Cross Technological Enterprises, she was caught by Darren Cross, Augustine Cross, and William Cross. Her father and a team of heroes made it in time to help her. Even though she is no longer affiliated with the Power Broker or Hench, she still wears the suit and goes by the alias Stinger.
