With Perpetua's plan to empower various villains having proven immensely successful, many of DC's characters are in grave danger. However, she doesn't just have her sights set on heroes. DC has released a first look at Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen #1 that shows speedster Johnny Quick seemingly dying at the hands of Perpetua.

Below you can see the first look, which is unlettered and uncolored. In the preview, Johnny Quick is turned to ash in front of Perpetua's throne and with various other villain watching. Other pages in the first look tease Lex Luthor confronting The Batman Who Laughs, a fight the solicitation information notes will play a big role in Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen #1.
