Netflix has released a new trailer, key art and additional casting for its Yasuke original anime, which includes the addition of The Mandalorian star Ming-Na Wen.

The trailer starts with Yasuke rescuing a young child from being attacked by an adult bully, which garners the attention of Lord Nobunaga. He takes Yasuke as his slave, but our protagonist quickly works his way up from servant to samurai, as Yasuke demonstrates his deadly fighting abilities by killing a group of attackers.

We then get looks at different conflicts to come during Yasuke, including him not being accepted for being different, Lord Nobunaga looking to claim the kingdom for himself and the Dark Army approaching. We also learn that Lord Nobunaga has been betrayed by everyone close to him except for Yasuke, the latter's current journey with a sick girl and her mother, and much more.

The tale is set in a war-torn feudal Japan filled with mechs and magic, the greatest ronin never known, Yasuke, struggles to maintain a peaceful existence after a past life of violence. But when a local village becomes the center of social upheaval between warring daimyo, Yasuke must take up his sword and transport a mysterious child who is the target of dark forces and bloodthirsty warlords.

Created by LeSean Thomas, Yasuke stars LaKeith Stanfield as Yasuke, Takehiro Hira as Nobunaga, Maya Tanida as Saki, Ming-Na Wen as Natsumaru, Paul Nakauchi as Morisuke, Darren Criss as Haruto, Julie Marcus as Nikita and William Christopher Stephens as Achoja. The series debuts April 29 on Netflix.
