Shogakukan's Shonen Sunday S magazine will publish a manga adaptation of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon later this year.

According to the Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon website, the show's manga adaptation will be penned by manga creator Takashi Shiina. Shiina is a veteran of the manga industry, well-known for his previous work on Ghost Sweeper MikamiGS Holmes Gokuraku Taisakusen!! and most recently, Zettai Karen Children, which was a science fiction comedy series that ended on July 14 after a 16-year run.

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon is a spinoff of Rumiko Takahashi's iconic Inuyasha series and tells the story of Towa and Setsuna, the daughters of Sesshomaru and Rin, and Moroha, the daughter of Kagome and Inuyasha. Viz Media aired the first season of the anime in Japan in October 2020, and Crunchyroll, Funimation and Hulu simulcasted the series in North and Latin America. The second season of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 2 in Japan, and Viz Media has confirmed that Season 2 will be again be available stream through the aforementioned services.

Currently, there is no information on whether Shiina's manga adaptation of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon will follow the plot of the anime or if it will tell original stories. The manga is scheduled to premiere in the Shonen Sunday S magazine on Sept. 25.
