Now that the X-Men are coming to Marvel and Disney for the first time, the MCU will reboot the entire mutant franchise. While this is a sad moment for people who loved the X-Men movies throughout the years, it might be time for a change after two decades, and Marvel seems the best fit for relaunching it to possibly greater heights.

However, while the X-Men and mutants are coming to the MCU, that does not mean Marvel will bring in all the mutants. Some mutants have little to no chance of ever appearing in an MCU movie, regardless of how many X-Men movies Disney makes.

10 Quicksilver

Quicksilver from the Fox X-Men movies

The most disappointing Commission will be Quicksilver. One of the most entertaining members of the X-Men cast was Evan Peters as Quicksilver. He was nothing like Quicksilver in the comics, which was a good thing as he was much more entertaining.

However, the problem is that Quicksilver also existed in the MCU, and he died in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The only possible way that Quicksilver could come back would be if Wanda brought him back to life, but hopefully, if that happened, it would be Peters and not Aaron Taylor-Johnson. But, don't expect it to happen.

9 Marrow

Marrow from the X-Men comics

Marrow was a former member of the Morlocks and joined the X-Men to redeem herself. Marrow is a mutant who can grow bones out of any part of her body, giving her potential knives and clubs and body armor to use as offensive and defensive weapons.

However, with the MCU being a little more PG-13 rated than anything, there is almost no chance that someone like Marrow shows up in the MCU version of the X-Men. The only landing spot for her would be in a Deadpool movie, but don't expect it.

8 Bishop

Bishop from the X-Men comics

One thing that the MCU does is keep things simple. There have been time travel and possible alternate worlds in Avengers: Endgame. There will also be multiple worlds in Doctor Strange and the Multitude of Madness, so there is a chance for Marvel to delve into what happens when worlds collide.

Don't expect the MCU to complicate things, so don't expect Bishop. This is a mutant that comes from one of many alternate futures in the X-Men world, and while he could show up based on Cable appearing in Deadpool 2, don't expect those movies to play into the MCU X-Men.

7 Xorn

Xorn Frank Quitely

While the MCU will deal with multiple Earths, don't expect them to get too confusing. If they do go far enough to bring in someone like Bishop, which is doubtful, there is no way they pull off the Xorn storyline. Xorn was thought to be Magneto in disguise, but his origin was so much more complicated.

Xorn was a mutant with a miniature star living in his head that allowed him to control electromagnetism and a healing factor. This is a character that no one should ever expect to see on the big screen.

6 Namor

an image showing Namor of Atlantis surrounded by water

Namor is best known for staying on his own and keeping out of teams. However, the man known as the Sub Mariner was a member of the X-Men more than once. Namor was also part of the side of the mutants in the Avengers v. X-Men comic book series.

With that in mind, there is no chance that Namor will be a member of the X-Men on the big screen, or even on his own. Unless something has changed, Universal partially has rights to Namor, much as they did with Hulk.

5 Warlock

Warlock in the New Mutants

The New Mutants movie was planning to bring in Warlock, but his part was cut out of the movie. There were plans to bring him in when the sequel came, but that movie will never happen with the MCU taking over the X-Men franchise.

Warlock is part of the New Mutants' world, and after the critical failure of the last Fox mutants movie, don't expect Marvel to go back to them anytime soon, and don't expect it to include Warlock.

4 Shatterstar

Shatterstar in the Mojoverse

Shatterstar was part of the X-Men, but he was mostly part of X-Force. Deadpool 2 mocked X-Force, giving fans a great Cable and Domino but making the rest of the team a joke. One member of that team was Shatterstar, and that Fox film was probably the only movie that the character will ever appear in.

That is because Shatterstar died horribly in Deadpool 2. With the only real chance for X-Force coming in the Deadpool world, there is a chance for some of them, but Shatterstar is already dead and gone.

3 Legion

Legion from the X-Men comics

Legion is Professor Xavier's son, and he has greater mutant powers than almost anyone in the world of mutants. His powers have allowed him to do several things, including changing the entire world by traveling through time.

However, the problem with bringing in Legion is that the character of David Haller was already shown on FX through three seasons. That was a critically acclaimed and well-received series, and there is little chance the MCU wants to try to match up with that show.

2 X-Man

Nate Grey from the X-Men

Don't expect X-Man to show up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when they bring in the X-Men. There are two big reasons this will probably never happen.

First, Nate Grey is part of the X-Men's alternate futures, something that the MCU will smartly avoid until the team is around for a while. With that said, he is the son of Scott Summers and Jean Grey, two characters the MCU will need to introduce first, and genetically created by Mr. Sinister, someone who has never been introduced in any movie.

1 Thunderbird

Thunderbird from the X-Men

When the original X-Men team disappeared, Professor Charles Xavier put together a new international team of mutants to find and rescue them. These members included Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus, and more.

One of the members no one talks about was Thunderbird, and that is because he died on the team's first mission after that. With that said, there is a chance his brother Warpath could show up in the Marel Cinematic Universe, but not Thunderbird.
