As time moves on and each decade passes, there have been so many costume changes made to the Marvel Comics mutant super-heroine. At least 5 costumes have surely been the best ever for the prominent X-Men character, Rogue, but there have also the 5 worst outfits that fans just absolutely cannot stand. Unfortunately, Rogue's fashion sense, whether good or bad, doesn't come included with her powers.

Before becoming a full-time member of the mutant superhero team, Anne Marie enjoyed the upper-class lifestyle of a southern belle in Caldecott County, Mississippi. When Anne's sweet flirtation with a local boy named Cody suddenly turned into a deadly first kiss, her mutant powers suddenly switched on and left him in a permanent coma.  As a runaway teen, Anne changed her name to Raven after being adopted by her surrogate mother figure, Mystique. After being raised a villain, Raven left the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and reformed herself as Rogue.

10 10. Age of X (Worst)

In the alternate reality of "Age of X," mutantkind has reached closer to the point of extinction. Colonel Graydon Creed has successfully led his human strike forces against the entire mutant race. Magneto has rescued the last remaining mutant survivors and moved them to his Fortress X. As a Reaper, Rogue uses her mutant powers to store the memories of those who passed away.

In her costume design, Rogue has started wearing black to meet her dark moods. The upper half of her costume is black and the bottom half is green. Rogue covers the rest of her body with a long black cape.

9 9. The Blue Team Look (Best)

The 10 Strongest Female Superheroes, Ranked

During writer Chris Claremont and artist Jim Lee's run, the X-Men were split into two dynamic teams to make better use of their large number of members. Cyclops led the Blue Team, which included Rogue, Gambit, and Wolverine.

In Lee's design, Rogue had a head bandanna just below her white and curly brown hair. With her yellow and green outfit, Rogue also wore a short-sleeved brown bomber jacket. She always wore her yellow gloves, which kept her from getting into contact with her other team members. Lee's vibrant look for Rogue was even kept and adapted into the  X-Men: The Animated Series.

8 8. X2 (Worst)

Rogue would be seen in her live-action form as played by Academy Award-winning actress, Anna Paquin (The Piano). Paquin really has such an utterly likable and charming screen presence as Rogue. It's a real shame that her dark leathery outfit didn't translate well in X2: X-Men United.

Moving away from the comics, director Bryan Singer  (The Usual Suspects) wanted black and leather costumes for a grounded and realistic look; instead of yellow spandex. Stripping away the colors, Rogue actually has less of her vibrant personality and comes across more of a Matrix knockoff.

7 7. Savage Land (Best)

As the entire place is stuck in prehistoric time, The Savage Land is hidden deep in Antarctica, away from the rest of the world. In Uncanny X-Men #274, Rogue suddenly finds herself in a "Crossroads," as she is surrounded by volcanoes and being chased after by dinosaurs.

Without any of her powers, Rogue finds herself stranded with the super-villain known as Magneto. Artist Jim Lee depicts Rogue stripped of her costume and showing off her physique. While starting a romance with Magneto, Rogue has to survive the jungle while wearing a homemade bikini.

6 6. Rogue Cut (Worst)

In the theatrical version of X-Men: Days of Future Past, Ana Paquin reprises her role briefly as Rogue during the closing minutes. With the timeline reset, Rogue (Paquin) appears alive and well with Bobby (Shawn Ashmore), aka Iceman.

In the alternate version of the blockbuster hit, entitled The Rogue Cut, the super-heroine played a significant role in the deleted scenes. In the story arc, Rogue has been held prisoner by the Sentinels at the X-Mansion. Looking like a horrible mess, Rogue's long hair has gone full-blown white. Her white futuristic suit doesn't match well with the rest of the black outfits.

5 5. Her First Outfit (Best)

Rogue made her first comic book appearance in Avengers Annual #10. In writer Chris Claremont and artist Michael Golden's introduction, Rogue was a notorious member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Raised and trained by Mystique, Rogue was able to defeat the Avengers during the surprise assault.

Rogue even managed to defeat Captain America, just by planting her lips onto his. In his character design, Golden portrayed Rogue with very short hair, as if she shaved her head. With a more punk exterior, the white streaks of hair really stood out on the sides of her head.

4 4. Age of Apocalypse (Worst)

After Legion traveled back to the past and accidentally murdered his father, Charles Xavier, the timeline was drastically changed for the worst. Now that Apocalypse had conquered the world, Rogue decided to stay with Magneto because he could use his mutant powers to touch her.

Returning to the X-Mansion, Gambit was shocked to discover that his former love now had a child, named Charles. In the "Age of Apocalypse" run, Rogue had straight locks instead of curly hair. Now being husband and wife, Rogue and Magneto wore matching long capes.

3 3. The Red Jump Suit (Best)

Sometimes, Rogue would break out from her usual green and yellow colors. In X-Men #4, Rogue wearing a classy and elegant red dress on her first date with Gambit. In X-Men: Legacy #234, Rogue had just broken up with Gambit, but she couldn't hold back her sexual desires.

In the costume design, artist Yanick Paquette removed the jacket and illustrated Rogue wearing a red and purple jumpsuit, which were symbolic of her sexual moods. Rogue had now gained telepathic abilities but couldn't control them. Rogue unknowingly let everyone else know how she fantasized about Gambit in her thoughts.

2 2. Evolution (Worst)

Members of the superhero team went from adults to teenagers in the animated reboot, X-Men: Evolution. A complete contrast from her cheery comic book personality, Evolution portrayed Rogue as a dark and moody wayward teen.

Now with shorter hair, Rogue was wearing all-black clothing and painted her face with goth-inspired makeup. The mood shift was made to fit Rogue's rebellious spirit as she started off on the show as a member of the Brotherhood. Even after joining the X-Men, Rogue had a difficult time getting along with her teammates and came off as a selfish brat, instead of a punk.

1 1. Married Life (Best)

The superhero wedding of Piotr Rasputin, aka Colossus, and Kitty Pryde, also known as Shadowcat, was supposed to take place in X-Men Gold #30. Unfortunately, Kitty started to have cold feet and couldn't walk down the isle on her wedding day.

Taking advantage of the romantic mood, with all their friends to witness the surprise announcement, the former thief, Gambit, impulsively asked Rogue to marry him. In the Mr. & Mrs. X series, as drawn by artist Oscar Bazaldua, Rogue is now wearing a green and white striped wardrobe, with matching gloves.
