May’s already a stacked month for gaming, with Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and Resident Evil Village already destined to rule everyone’s playtime. That isn’t stopping Xbox from making sure gamers have plenty to play, though.
Games with Gold for May features a robust selection of RPGs, strategy games and platformers, meaning there’s a little something for everyone his month. As always, these games are available to active Xbox Live Gold members and will remain accessible so long as your Gold is active.
Armello
Board games turned video games are becoming very popular, and 2016’s Armello continues that trend. Players set out across Armello with the goal of overthrowing the kingdom’s rulers to become the King or Queen of Armello. However, it’s no easy task thanks to the corrupted Rot spreading throughout the kingdom, not to mention the monsters and thieves lying in wait around every corner.
Developed and published by League of Geeks, Armello will be available for Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S May 1 to May 31.
Dungeons 3
2017’s Dungeons 3 puts players in the shoes of a Dungeon Lord seeking to expand his domain. To that end, the Dungeon Lord enslaves a dark elf priestess, Thalya, to complete his quest for expansion from the comfort of his own throne. Players can use various rooms, traps and structures to create a terrifying dungeon so solidify your evil empire in this incredible throwback to Dungeon Keeper.
Developed by Realmforge Studios and published by Kalypso Media, Dungeons 3 will be available to Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S May 16 to June 15.
LEGO Batman
LEGO Batman has quietly become a massive property over the past several years, but the phenomenon started here. Riddler is robbing Gotham’s Gold Reserves, Penguin wants to take over the city and The Joker just wants Gotham to have a laugh. Team up with Robin and a host of other DC characters in this all-ages romp to save the city, or play through the Villains storyline and see how they could succeed.
Developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by Warner Bros Interactive, Lego Batman 3 will be available to Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S May 1 to May 15.
Tropico 4
It’s not easy being El Presidente. The storied Tropico series continues to be a hit to this day, but Tropico 4 may be the best-known entry yet. You determine the future of your nation -- and the size of your wallet if you play your cards right. Keep the people happy and build up your island, or let everything fall apart and be overthrown. Up to you, really.
Developed by Haemimont Games and published by Kalypso Media, Tropico 4 will be available to Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S May 16 to May 31.
