Marvel's next big X-Men event, X of Swordsmay be a difficult one for Piotr Rasputin aka Colossus. Marvel recently released some information about an upcoming lead-in to the event in X-Force, which features Colossus on trial.

Titled "The Trial of Colossus. The Threat of the Cerebro Sword. The Return of Mikhail Rasputin," the story is written by Benjamin Percy and drawn by Bazaldua. The teaser image for the story can be seen below.

The Cerebro sword was just revealed in Benjamin Percy and Balzadua's X-Force #11, which came out on August 12, 2020. The issue also revealed that Mikhail Rasputin had the sword and used it to kill Quentin Quire.

Mikhail Rasputin is Piotr and Illyana's oldest brother, first appearing in Uncanny X-Men #284. His mutant power allows him to dimension hop and the character frequently appears as a villain.

X of Swords is an upcoming event spearheaded by Johnathan Hickman and Tini Howard, involving all of the various X-Men books in the line-up. The 22-part event will start with X of Swords: Creation #1 by Johnathan Hickman and Pepe Larraz. The story will feature the return of Apocalypse's original four horsemen.

Colossus' trial will be featured in an issue of X-Force, which releases in September.
