X-Men's Halle Berry Pretty Sure She'll Return in Days of Future Past

Halle Berry will be in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Probably. Maybe.

In a preview of a longer interview, IndieWire's Shadow and Act blog indicates the Oscar-winning actress is in talks to reprise her role as Storm in director Bryan Singer's sequel, but the details haven't been ironed out yet. The site reports:

She told me that are a few details that are still being negotiated which she couldn't get into. But since she did tell me that the film starts shooting in April, it's highly unlikely that talks are going to suddenly and horribly fall apart at this point, and the producers have to scramble to find a replacement at the very last minute.

There's a whole lot of assumption in the above, something the article goes on to point out, but it's also important to remember what Singer said a few weeks back about Berry's involvement: “I can’t say. I don’t know yet. And it’s not necessarily a deal making aspect at all. I want to make sure it’ll make sense. But I love working with her.”

Berry, who appeared in all three installments of Fox's original X-Men trilogy, would join fellow cast members Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore, returning First Class stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Holt and Jennifer Lawrence, and new addition Peter Dinklage.

X-Men: Days of Future Past opens July 18, 2014.
