Mister Sinister is perhaps one of the most twisted beings on Krakoa, quietly setting up his own plans and machinations around the island nation. But he may have just met his superior, and no one is happier about it than him.

In Hellions #6, Mister Sinister and the Hellions just encountered Tarn, a twisted peer to Sinister and Arakko's most fearsome geneticist.

After making their way to Arakko, Mister Sinister and his Hellions find themselves having arrived far too late to have any real impact on the tournament between Arakko and Krakoa. Their battles were for naught as a result, and arrive in Arakko to discover not the Champions of that lost mutant nation but instead Tarn the Uncaring. A mysterious and telepathic mutant, Tarn discovers that Mister Sinister set up the mission so he could make off with DNA samples from mutants of Arakko. It turns out Tarn -- also known as Tarn the Uncaring -- is similar to Sinister in that he's a cruel and twisted "creator." His mutants, known as the Locus Vile, are the scourge of Amenth -- a band of twisted and mutilated mutants.

When he takes command of a mutant, Tarn "sculpts their genes anew" to create monstrous new forms of them. He does this merely so he can continue to march across creation and "pervert the fauna there." In essence, he's the Arakko equivalent of Mister Sinister, messing with the genetics of various mutants to force out new monstrous beings. Each of these forms is terrible in its own right and capable of bringing down Krakoa warriors with relative ease. It's even hinted that Genesis and her allies have an antagonistic relationship with this mad man, as Tarn mentions he's only out in the open because Genesis and her closest followers are distracted with the tournament in Otherworld.

Sinister is incredibly impressed with his Arakoo counterpart, with literal cartoon hearts filling his eyes when he sees his creations. Tarn can tell that he and Sinister have similar motivations and goals, but he warns Sinister that Arakko is his grounds -- and that he won't allow Sinister to steal away any new material for his own cloning attempts. As the Krakoan mutants try to escape back into Otherworld, most of their number are brought down-- leaving Tarn with the genetic material of Wild Child, Nanny, Orphan-Maker, and even Mister Sinister himself. He even admits how he would normally admire Sinister for his work and mental prowess -- but then uses his psionic abilities to rip Sinister apart for the crime of stealing from him.

Arakko's own mad scientist might be even more fearsome than the nigh-indestructible Mister Sinister himself, as his simple cruelty and overwhelming power make him potentially unstoppable. The fact that he now has access to Krakoa's DNA -- including Wild Child, who has an impressive healing factor -- means that even if Krakoa were to defeat Arakko in the tournament and force some sort of peace, a major threat is growing in that lost land. While Sinister has his Hellions and potentially even his cloned Marauders to call upon, the return of Tarn might present real challenges not just to Krakoa but the future of all mutant-kind.
