The X-Men have always had some impressive technology, with many of the genius inventors on the team roster adapting to the challenges the world throws at them.

Beast's newest creation -- the Shadow Room -- works in tandem with Sage and gives the X-Men their own version of CSI. But it also could have many more uses than that, and could be crucial for the X-Men going forward.

The newest advancement from the minds of Krakoa is the Shadow Room. Based within the X-Force headquarters known as the Pointe, Beast reveals to Wolverine has his newest invention takes many of the ideas from the Danger Room and applies it to their current work. Formerly, the Danger Room utilized hard-light holograms to change settings and challenges. This made it the perfect training tool for the X-Men. Now, the Shadow Room uses similar holograms to construct a room around the people within it. But instead of being a place for training, it's the perfect means for X-Force to investigate any possible crimes.

Sage is able to pull information from blueprints, photos, surveillance video and eyewitness accounts and then use the room to create holographic replications of any crime scene from around the world. It can even give the group access to reports from other investigations, such as tracking down specific DNA. This allows the X-Men to investigate any crime committed around the world -- all from the safety of Krakoa. This is a huge advancement for X-Force and one that is quickly put to use trying to help hunt down Maverick after he and his fellow Mercs become wanted by the United States government. But there are plenty of other useful ways to utilize the Shadow Room.

With X-Factor now assembled to investigate crimes against mutants and to verify mutant deaths before their resurrection by the Five, the Shadow Room could be key to simplifying their investigations, at least taking their first looks at any potential crime scenes.  It could help the X-Men and the rest of their allies isolate attacks on them all over the world and analyze what happened, why it happened and how to keep it from happening again. It could even allow the X-Men to assist in any other investigation taking place around the globe -- potentially making them crucial to discovering criminals from across the world and helping ease the recent blows to the X-Men's reputation within the global community -- which is what they first use it for, helping try to track down Maverick for crimes committed on US soil.

The Shadow Room takes the idea of the Danger Room and turns it into one of the most potentially useful peace-keeping tools on Krakoa. While Beast's recent actions have not endeared him to many of his fellow mutants, the Shadow Room is a strong reminder of the good that Beast's brilliance can afford the X-Men.
