10 Giancarlo Esposito Has Professor Xavier's Demeanor

Professor Xavier leads the X-Men, and whoever plays the character in the MCU will have some large shoes to fill. In the Fox X-Men Franchise, Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy played Charles Xavier. Recently, rumors have spread of Giancarlo Esposito's interest in the role.

Giancarlo Esposito might be best known for his villainous roles, such as his characters in Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian. While many expect Giancarlo Esposito to play Magneto, it would be refreshing for theveteran actor to play a more caring and nurturing role. Fans would love to see Esposito in one of the coolest Marvel bases, Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

9 Jack Reynor Is Ready To Break Out As Cyclops

Many fans have expressed resentment over the fact that Scott Summers, also known as Cyclops, was never given a chance to shine in the Fox films. While James Marsden and Tye Sheridan gave everything they could in those films, Cyclops hasn't been able to stand out as the X-Men's onscreen leader.

Jack Reynor has impacted the independent film scene with breakout roles in 2016's Sing Street and 2019's Midsommar. The Irish-American actor is waiting for a role to launch him into mainstream stardom, and Scott Summers might be the role to do it.

8 Colman Domingo Can Terrify As Magneto

A split image of Colman Domingo and Magneto

Magneto, leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants, has always been a central figure in the X-Men's stories. Toeing the line between good and evil, Magneto takes a more violent approach toward Mutant Civil Rights than Professor Xavier's school.

Throughout the 2010s, Colman Domingo has been building his acting portfolio. After winning the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for The Scottsboro Boys, Domingo shined in roles such as Fear the Walking Dead, Euphoria, If Beale Street Could Talk, and, most notably, last year's Zola. In Zola, Domingo was able to show how charismatic he can be and how he can shift his tone to downright terrifying in a single moment. This talent and ability would fit Magneto well.

7 Ella Purnell Would Soar As Phoenix

Jean Grey and Ella Purnell

Jean Grey, also known as Phoenix, is the center of many X-Men storylines. As one of the most essential characters in the X-Men canon, her casting will be crucial. The Dark Phoenix persona has been adapted twice in X-Men: The Last Stand and Dark Phoenix, and both were met with harsh criticism.

Ella Purnell has plenty of experience playing characters who shift between hero and villain. Her roles in Yellowjackets and Arcane show she can play these characters with charm, and her role with Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children shows she can succeed on a blockbuster scale.

6 Maika Monroe Could Transform Into Mystique

Frequently touted as one of the best comic book villains of all time, Mystique has been present in almost all the X-Men films thus far. Her presence in the MCU is necessary to please the fans, but replacing Jennifer Lawrence is no small task.

Maika Monroe proved her ability to play compelling characters in It Follows, Villains, and, more recently, Watcher. Monroe has also proven her ability to work in a high-budget space with her role in Independence Day: Resurgence. Monroe can add something new to the character of Mystique.

5 Jaylen Barron Would Electrify As Storm

Storm and Jaylen Barron

Storm has always been a massive character in the X-Men, but more importantly, her character has the potential to form a bridge between the X-Men and other Marvel projects. Storm's comic ties to Wakanda, Avengers, and Fantastic Four give the character so much potential in the MCU.

Jaylen Barron began her career with Disney Channel Original Series appearances in Shake It Up and Good Luck Charlie before landing a recurring role in Shameless. Barron's current role in Blindspotting also shows her acting ability. With her active ties to Disney, Jaylen Barron's Storm could be electric.

4 Jenna Ortega Is Ready To Go Rogue

Often cited as one of the most popular X-Men characters, Rogue has a long history with the X-Men and would undoubtedly be a prominent character in any X-Men project Disney produces. Rogue's superhuman ability to, often involuntarily, absorb the power of anyone she touches asks the question, is a mutation a curse?

This question will require a talented performer to answer. Jenna Ortega has blown up recently in the entertainment industry, and her presence in a superhero project is inevitable. Jenna Ortega has the talent and the fanbase to bring fans to the big screen to see her play the famous X-Men character.

3 Travis Fimmel Can Convey Both Sides Of Beast

Beast and Travis Fimmel

Hank McCoy, also known as Beast, shows audiences that although his mutation has made him hairy and bestial, his genius remains. Whoever portrays Beast on the big screen must show an animalistic fighting style and project intelligence that rivals Bruce Banner's or Tony Stark's.

Travis Fimmel can portray a strong warrior, just as he has in Vikings and in the Warcraft film. Fimmel is also no stranger to sci-fi roles, given his presence in Aaron Guzikowski's Raised by Wolves. Travis Fimmel can bring life and intellect to Beast on the big screen.

2 Madison Hu Can Light The Way As Jubilee

Jubilation Lee, or Jubilee, is a fan favorite X-Men character best known for her role in X-Men: The Animated Series. Jubilee made her live-action debut in X-Men: Apocalypse, played by To All the Boys' Lana Condor.

With the proper script, Jubilee has the potential to be one of the best additions to the MCU in the Multiverse Saga. The pyrotechnic mutant needs a charismatic performer to give life to the character, and Madison Hu might be one of the best choices for the role. Hu starred alongside Olivia Rodrigo in Disney Channel's Bizaardvark, and the Marvel main stage might be what she and Jubilee needs.

1 Channing Tatum Is, Finally, Gambit

Gambit and Channing Tatum

Gambit, or Remy LeBeau, has never gotten the portrayal he deserves onscreen. The massively popular character showed up once in the previous live-action films, played by Taylor Kitsch in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Since then, the character has been absent from live-action films, much to the dismay of fans.

Fox had been attempting to capitalize on Gambit's popularity for years, with Channing Tatum specifically having a driving interest in the character. Tatum worked with producers and writers for over a decade to bring the character to the big screen, but these plans fell apart when Disney officially canceled the project in 2019. If Gambit does come to the big screen soon, Channing Tatum should be the character's face.
