WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Marauders #9 by Gerry Duggan, Matteo Lolli and Edgar Delgado, on sale Wednesday, March 4.

The status quo for the X-Men has never been more different than it is now under the guiding hand of Jonathan Hickman. Instead of bunkering up behind the walls of the Xavier Institute or Jean Grey School, the X-Men now find themselves declaring the island nation of Krakoa as their new home. Plus, instead of feuding with the likes of Magneto, Apocalypse and Mister Sinister, the X-Men have welcomed them and other villains to Krakoa with open arms.

United as one, the mutants of the Marvel Universe now have the goal of forging a new future for themselves, where they aren't being persecuted or looked down upon by humans. With these changes come new relationship dynamics, and one with perhaps the most interest among fans is the threesome of Cyclops, Jean Grey and Wolverine.

X-Men #1 took readers to the Summers House habitat on the moon. A data page of the facility revealed the sleeping quarters for members of the Summers Family, including Cyclops, Jean Grey, Havok, Rachel Grey, Vulcan, Nate Grey and Wolverine. Eagle-eyes fans immediately caught how the rooms for Wolverine, Cyclops and Jean all connected to each other via doorways, leading to speculation that the trio is in a polyamorous relationship.

The release of X-Men #7 adds a queer twist to this love triangle. The issue takes us back to the Summers House where Cyclops and Wolverine enjoy some bonding time together while sipping coffee. During their stargazing discussion, Cyclops makes a joke about Logan getting to see him in a speedo, to which Logan quips back that it may not be such a bad sight to see. Now, a preview of Marauders #9 introduces another potential lover to the mix.

The preview features the Marauders ship arriving back on Krakoa. The island is in the middle of another celebration/party, which we saw a lot of in the House of X and Powers of X dual miniseries. Pyro trots through the partygoers while grabbing a glass to drink. He makes it clear that the Marauder is only stopping back at Krakoa long enough to unload supplies. However, he may rethink this strategy when he finds Jean Grey seductively sitting on the hood of a black car with the Phoenix signal on it.

It's not made clear why Jean has taken an interest in Pyro, but if it truly is for romantic purposes, he could join the X-Men's open relationship. Who knows, maybe Jean has a thing for guys with tattoos on their faces.

Marauders #9 goes on sale March 4 from Marvel Comics.
