Hot off his cameo in the mega-hit Deadpool 2, Quicksilver actor Evan Peters says he would love to have his own X-Men spinoff starring his fan-favorite mutant speedster.

"I think that would be so fun," Peters admitted in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I love the special effects and the sequences and I love working with all those guys, so in one second I would do that."

First appearing as Magneto's super-speeded son Quicksilver in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past, Peters had a scene-stealing performance that saw the mutant take center stage in a high speed sequence set to Jim Croce's "Time in a Bottle." After positive critical reaction, Peters' was given a larger role as Quicksilver in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse with a similar standout sequence set to The Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)."

The actor recently reprised his role as Quicksilver in a surprise silent cameo in Deadpool 2 that even caught the X-Men actor by surprise.

"We were shooting [the upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix], and they were like, 'Hey we're going to do this quick thing for Deadpool 2 real fast, we gotta get everyone together so let's do it," Peters recalled.

"I thought it was going to be for the end credits -- and I think everybody kinda did -- but it ended up being like, boom, right there sort of in the first half of the film. Which was really sort of weird and shocking," Peters said.

Audiences can next expect Peters to reprise his role as Quicksilver in the X-Men sequel Dark Phoenix, which releases on February 14, 2019.
