Hasbro had a huge showing at this year's New York Toy Fair, and we'll be taking a look at a few new available figures from our favorite properties over the next week. Today we are going to focus on one of the new waves from Hasbro's Marvel Legends series that will take a trip to the X-Men's alternate reality known as the Age of Apocalypse with a brand new Build-A-Figure wave!

BUILD-A-FIGURE

Following the "Legion's Quest" storyline, reality was altered when the son of Professor Charles Xavier went to the past and killed his father, resulting in a world without Xavier that led to the fall of humanity at the hands of Apocalypse. Marvel Legends has released an entire wave dedicated to the AoA characters that all contain a piece of the larger Sugar Man figure.

Much of the Marvel universe was then re-imagined in this new world, with many of the X-Men getting an extreme makeover as this version of the team was led by Magneto, while a few mainstream X-Men like Hank McCoy/Beast joined Apocalypse, creating the evil Dark Beast character that would continue to cause problems in the mainstream reality.

Logan was known as Weapon X in the AoA reality, and he had a deadly history with the Cyclops of that reality which resulted in the loss of Logan's hand and the loss of Scott Summers's eye in a previous battle. This version of Weapon X is a unique take on the character and pairs well with other figures on this list.

The version of Jean Grey seen in the AoA shares similar facial markings as her lover Weapon X and the two characters worked against Apocalypse on their own terms away from the X-Men. Her genetically grown son was Nate Grey/X-Man, one of the more popular characters from the AoA who would find himself transported to the mainstream reality with a few other remnants.

Fans had seen the character of Morph appear in the mainstream universe before, though it wasn't until the AoA that this version of the character first appeared, and the wise-cracking shape-changer would go on to find new success with the Exiles series, though that version of Morph wasn't quite the same as the AoA version.

Sabretooth worked alongside the X-Men with his feral partner Wild Child, who shared a similar aesthetic as the former X-Men villain. Sunfire was another member of the X-Men who received a dark makeover in the AoA, and this fiery look has since made its way to the mainstream universe as well.
