Mister Sinister has found a large spotlight in modern X-Men stories, playing important roles in the Krakoa government and taking center stage in series like Hellions and Immortal X-Men. These stories have been highlighting the cruel limits he's willing to cross -- but it's not the most twisted he's ever been.

A Secret Wars tie-in once focused on one of Marvel's most powerful versions of Mister Sinister -- whose authority had become so great and whose resources were so expansive, that he was able to have his agents hunt down other Marvel characters for the sole purpose of turning them into food.

Secret Wars Journal #2 included the story "Hell's Kitchen" (by Simon Spurrier, Jonathan Marks, Miroslav Mrva, and VC's Cory Petit) and focused on Bar Sinister -- one of the realms of Battle-World. This domain is the kingdom of Mister Sinister, whose decadent and dark appetites are taken care of by various cloned agents and operatives. Among them were variants of Daredevil and Elektra. This Elektra, known as the Collektra, retained the martial-arts skills she is typically shown to possess across the Marvel multiverse. As depicted in the story, she uses these abilities to stalk across Battle-World at Sinister's command. Despite breaking the laws of the realms and incurring the anger of the Thor Corps, this version of Elektra proved quick and efficient enough to kill any of Sinister's targets.

Notably, though, these assassinations weren't done to further Sinister's power or target his enemies. Rather, Baron Sinister had developed a wicked appetite for the rarest delicacies in the Marvel Universe. His hordes of cloned Collecktras could kill and claim them from any domain. Afterward, Collektra brings them to a variant of Matt Murdock whose enhanced senses are primarily through his taste buds -- allowing him to "see" everything from body movement to emotions. Having become a master chef thanks to his abilities, this version of Daredevil is ultimately tasked with creating one of the most twisted menus in the history of the Marvel Universe.

The dishes that this "Fare-Devil" produces are suggested to be among the most delicious in all of Battle-World, with even God King Doom stepping down from his holy throne to taste some of Murdock's creations. But these meals are implied to be the result of skinning, cooking, and consuming other notable Marvel characters (or at least variants of them). In the story, Collektra's newest kill is a version of Man-Thing, which Fare-Devil turns into a cous-cous dish. Other meals including Night-Fanger Biryani imply any number of vampires could be the meal, his Fricadelles Du Stegosaure is implied to have once been Stegron, and other dishes he created are suggested to have been versions of Groot and Howard the Duck.

All of this highlights how twisted Mister Sinister can be -- especially when he's in a position of power. By transforming sentient characters into meals, he's found a way to curry favor in the Battle-World. His casual disdain for others is present in his core-canon incarnation as well, but with the full weight of a domain behind him, Sinister is willing to use an army of Elektras to procure his meals. Furthermore, Sinister's cruel ability to turn a character typically as defiant and heroic as Daredevil into his personal (and beaten down) chef is one of the things that makes him such a dangerous and entertainingly over the top villain.
