X-Men alum Lana Condor, who played Jubilee in X-Men: Apocalypse, revealed she nearly played Rose Tico from Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

"This was before The Force Awakens came out, and they were already reading for the sequel," Condor told STYLECASTER, recalling how she had a chemistry read with Finn actor John Boyega. "He was eating Sugarfish, and I had a meeting to just get to know him. I remember looking at him and being like, ‘He has no idea what’s about to happen to his life. He is going to be the lead in Star Wars. That is so cool.’ And then he blew up overnight."

Of course, the role of Rose Tico would ultimately go to Kelly Marie Tran, who played the character in both The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker.

Regardless, Condor has been keeping busy since taking on the brief appearance of Jubilee in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse. Her latest works can be seen in Netflix's To All the Boys I've Loved Before as Lara Jean Covey, as well as its upcoming sequels To All The Boys I've Loved Before: P.S. I Still Love You and To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean.
