Marvel has released a new batch of variant covers for the upcoming House of X and Powers of X, covering a snapshot of the last 50 years of the X-Men's rich history.

Some of the artists contributing to the covers include Mark Brooks, Phil Noto, Joe Madureira, Sara Pichelli and many more.

X-Men fans young and old will recognize a few of the key moments captured on the covers. House of X variant covers begin with a Dave Cockrum cover featuring the heroes who launched Giant-Size X-Men #1; five iterations of Cyclops are on Marco Checchetto's cover; Joe Madureira rekindles the '90s romance between Rogue and Gambit, and Cyclops and Jean Grey walk through a garden on the Phil Noto cover.

Powers of X covers take the X-Men to the Savage Land on a Jack Kirby hidden gem variant; Joshua Cassara flashes through Storm's past, and Mike Huddleston pits Wolverine against Silver Samurai.

One thing both sets of covers reveal are new looks at Jonathan Hickman, Pepe Larraz and R.B. Silva's House of X and Powers of X. Most notably, a House of X cover by Sara Pichelli shows Charles Xavier with Cerebro around his head and a potted plant in his hands. These flowers have been displayed prominently on preview pages for the dual X-Men miniseries, but at this time their origin remains unknown.
