X-Men: First Class, Green Lantern, Wolverine: Aug 17th Comic Reel

As we reported here at CBR, Oliver Platt has joined the cast as "The Man in Black." No one knows who that might be, so I'll guess that Platt is playing Johnny Cash for some reason. It's been a big couple of days for casting announcements related to the film. I just wonder if they'll ever tell us what bad guy Kevin Bacon is playing.

Release date: June 3rd, 2011

Pietro Filipponi at Comic Book Movie has another early look at a member of the GLC, today it's Tomar-Re with a little Killowog for good measure.

Guillermo del Toro talks about the possibility of a third film with MTV News:

Release date: TBA

According to Showbiz 411, the film will be shot in 3D, just in case you were worried you wouldn't get to see the Hulk smash stuff and throw it at you. Meanwhile, director Joss Whedon talked with About.com, um, about Mark Ruffalo. "To me, I wanted Mark because he connects with you. He is a guy who you feel that he is you and he reaches out to you in a way that I don't feel the performances as Banner have really done. And this also has to do with the way the narrative works, but I feel I wanted to come at Banner and The Hulk visually from a new place. And I wanted somebody that had the quality that Mark has which is somebody who has taken hits from life but is not defined by that," says Whedon.

Directed by Joss Whedon & starring everybody, release date: May 4th, 2012

David Fincher talks the "R-Rated, Anthology, 3D" film with MTV News:

It would appear Wolverine will be heading to Japan sooner than we thought. "Hugh Jackman won't be knocking on doors this fall in the lead role of 'Avon Man', the 20th Century Fox comedy that Kevin Lima will direct. I'm told that Jackman has dropped out as the star. That's going to come as pretty good news for superhero fans because  Jackman will spend the late fall getting in killer shape to reprise his role as Logan in a sequel to 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine," reports Deadline. With all the activity surrounding "First Class," I think everyone assumed the "Wolverine" sequel was on the backburner.

Release date: 2012?

The Media Club (via Comic Book Movie) has a number of photos from the set:

Looks like this might be one of Cap's USO shows.

While promoting the film "Mao's Last Dancer," actor Bruce Greenwood told Collider about giving his voice to Batman in the upcoming series. "I love being around those guys. You can't believe how talented they are. I do lots of voices and always have, but I've never gotten into that game of doing voices for money and it's a pretty tight shop. You walk in and these guys are doing these incredible impersonations. I was in there a couple of weeks ago. There's two guys in town apparently that do great animal sounds and this one cat was doing a lion and then a tiger that were having an altercation. You would close your eyes and swear to God that it was coming from a creature that was three to four times the size of a man. I love it," he says of recording.

Airdate: TBA
